2008-FEB > “Transitioning to Organic Production” Seminar

Bob Radcliffe taught three, 1-hour Seminars at the NC Cooperative Extension Service “Successful Small Farms Opportunities” Conference held at the Vance Granville Community College – Franklin Campus on Saturday, February 23, 2008.

Bob created the Seminar slide presentation and focused upon his first-hand experiences transitioning Lynch Creek Farm to USDA Crop and Livestock Organic Certification.

More than half of the Conference attendees chose this presentation from a selection of nine Seminars that included: “Managing Your Woodland Portfolio”, “Pastured Pork Production”, “Leasing Land for Wildlife”, “Community Supported Agriculture”, “Direct Marketing”, “Beekeeping”, “Promoting Your Farm on the Internet” and “Farm Financing”.

Bob’s Seminar was well received, and the overall evaluations of the conference were “outstanding” and “very educational”.
