2007-MAR > Orchard Drip-Irrigation Project Completed

After over two-years of planning and work, Bob Radcliffe turned the timer ON that operated the orchard irrigation system for the first time on March 31, 2007 – just in time for the 2007 growing season. The apple trees are just beginning to leaf and will soon flower – marking the start of a new crop.

Use of this irrigation system should dramatically improve the yield, quality and quantity of apples – we’ll see. To review a complete photo history of the project use this Orchard Irrigation Project link.

In spite of the time, effort and expense involved – this approach will sure beat “running” 5-gallon water buckets to each tree since we now have now over forty (40) trees in the orchard.
