2006-AUG > Lynch Creek Conservation Initiative Launched
Bob Radcliffe prepared an open letter to over 25 Lynch Creek adjoining landowners to solicit their support to begin a grass-roots effort to conserve Lynch Creek for future generations. This initiative is striving to conserve a stretch of over five miles of Lynch Creek involving over 2500 watershed acres of land between Rocky Ford Road and Sims Bridge Road in Franklin County, NC.
With adjoining landowner support, a collective petition letter will be drafted that requests the Tar River Land Conservancy (TRLC) for assistance in conserving Lynch Creek. TRLC is the region’s lead agency for stream conservation by promoting the use of Conservation Easements.
This multi-year, landowner collaboration effort will hopefully educate landowners about the individual steps they can take to conserve Lynch Creek in perpetuity.
